We invite to our next screening of movies under the series “Why as a Christian should you watch this movie?”  The movie is entitled: STAR TREK: BEYOND, the third installment of a re-boot of the original 1960s TV series of the same name and the series of movies from the 1980s.  The STAR TREK franchise has just celebrated its 50th anniversary and it has not lost its enduring legacy of speaking openly of issues that confront individuals, community and humanity as a species.

This movie is about “identity and meaning” and is an account of 2 persons who had to confront them.  What we would want to discuss then is:

“What is identity and meaning to you, and are they sharper as a Christian?”
