Open Eyes in a Darkened Room

 In our screening of STILL ALICE  last month, we explored the value of memories in the framing of identity. Although that is not the Christian foundation of identity with God, we nevertheless thank God for memories and learn to treasure them. They do "maketh the man"

Now in THE AWAKENING, we explore the "dark side" of memory- can they really be suppressed to enable us to form new identities? Can these suppressed memories then come back to haunt? Although Christians believe in the spiritual realm, can these memories come back in the manner depicted in this movie? And what can Christians do to handle such situations?
