GCF Intersect Conversations 2015

Date: Saturday, 25 July, 2015
Time: 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM
Venue: Cru Main Hall (Level 3) 18 Verdun Road, Singapore
Theme: The Accidental Executive: Critical Lessons on Faith and Work from the Life of Joseph
Speakers: Dr Al Erisman

 The Seminar:

Most followers of Jesus, like most people, spend most of their time at work. Yet we often receive little help as to how to follow Christ in our work. This seminar will lay out key principles on how we can live out our faith in our work taken from the life of Joseph. Joseph's example is particularly helpful because like him many of us work in situations where believers are in the minority.

The Speaker:

We are privileged to have Albert M (Al) Erisman come speak to us. Al is the Executive in Residence in the School of Business, Government and Economics at Seattle Pacific University. He also co-teaches a class for Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary on the theology of work.

Al worked at The Boeing Company for 32 years where, for the last 10 years, he was Director of R & D for computing and mathematics. There he led a staff of 250-300 scientists as a part of the Boeing central research organization.

He is co-author or co-editor of several books in technology, business, theology and mathematics. His latest book is The Accidental Executive: Lessons on Business, Faith and Calling from the Life of Joseph.
